YOUNTVILLE, Napa County — Yountville has reminded residents, tenants and contractors about worksite rules meant to reduce construction noise and disruption to neighboring properties.
In an August 18, 2026 public notice, the town said contracted construction activity that creates noise is permitted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday work may be allowed from 9 a.m. to noon if a property owner or tenant is on site. The notice says construction is not permitted on Sundays or holidays.
Sidewalks and streets
The town also says an encroachment permit is required for construction work, materials or obstructions placed in the public right-of-way, including streets and sidewalks. Unauthorized discharge of materials into the storm-drain system is prohibited.
Before scheduling work
Property owners should confirm whether they need a separate building permit and whether their project has specific conditions. Neighbors with questions can contact the town’s Planning and Building or Public Works staff at 707-944-8851. Check the current municipal code and permit conditions in case they have been updated since the August notice.
