EARLIER REPORT — YOUNTVILLE, Napa County — November 4, 2026. An unusually close election for mayor of Yountville showed Joe Tagliaboschi ahead of incumbent Marjorie Mohler by just 10 votes in the county’s overnight reporting. The contest remains unofficial, and no winner can yet be confirmed.
The margin has shifted
KQED’s Napa County results, updated at 1:10 a.m. November 4, list Tagliaboschi with 366 votes (50.6%) and Mohler with 356 (49.3%). In the first 8:01 p.m. county report, Patch reported Tagliaboschi leading by only two votes, 343 to 341. The lead has widened but remains extremely small.
Town Council results are separate
In the two-seat Yountville Town Council race, Hillery Bolt Trippe had 320 candidate votes, Robin McKee 305 and Jill Turner 243 in the same 1:10 a.m. report, with other candidates further behind. These are candidate selections for a different office, not additional votes for mayor.
Measure Y is not a new tax
Yountville’s Measure Y, an appropriations-limit proposal, had 608 yes votes (82.1%) versus 132 no. The measure would adjust the town’s spending limit under California’s rules; it should not be mistaken for a ballot measure imposing a new tax rate.
All results remain unverified by the final canvass. Napa County will continue processing eligible ballots and expects certification by December 3. Check the Napa County Elections results page for newer reports.
Reporting snapshot: 1:10 a.m. Pacific, November 4, 2026. Preliminary results only.
